Carrie Underwood Puts the Brakes on Motorcycle Lessons

Pregnancy Has Kept Her Off Miranda Lambert's Gift

Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert might sing about "Somethin' Bad," but in an interview with CMT Hot 20 Countdown host Cody Alan, Underwood had nothing but good things to say about her feisty duet partner.

"Miranda is great," she said. "I love strong women. (I love hearing them) on the radio, and I love seeing them in concert. It was so much fun getting to record that with her. And being onstage, I felt like we really would feed off of each other. Two blondes are better than one, right?"

When the song was released in May, Lambert surprised Underwood with a shiny new motorcycle to celebrate. And although Underwood's husband Mike Fisher bought her a smaller bike to learn on, Underwood says her pregnancy has forced her to put her riding lessons on hold.

"Have you had a chance to figure out how to ride your motorcycle yet?" Alan asked the superstar.

"I haven't, and the whole pregnancy thing has kind of thrown a monkey wrench into my progress," she said. "Mike bought me a little dirt bike to learn how to ride on first because the bike (Lambert bought) is a really big bike. It's kind of serious, so I need some practice, and I was like, 'OK, I guess we'll have to take a timeout on the motorcycle lessons for a while!'"

"Somethin' Bad" is nominated for musical event and music video of the year at the 48th annual CMA Awards, which Underwood will co-host for a seventh time with Brad Paisley. The extravaganza airs Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
