Party Down South Gets In the Holiday Spirit

Rednecks Celebrate in Drunksgiving and Christmas Hangover Specials

Heat up your turkey fryer and spike the eggnog. CMT is bringing back America’s favorite partiers in two all-new, one-hour Party Down South holiday specials.

This Thanksgiving, America’s most adored dysfunctional redneck family comes together to count their blessings, pound shots and catch up on their fighting in Party Down South: Drunksgiving. Since they consider themselves family, the entire cast decides Thanksgiving should be spent with each other. And what a better way to do this than spending a few wild nights together under one roof, funneling beer, deep frying turkeys and reflecting on all the things they’re thankful for — like marlins, sharks and the beerzooka.

As for Christmas, it’s anything but normal for the Party Down South crew. Whether it’s Lyle’s duck call caroling, Lauren’s tacky sweater party, Murray getting his annual Christmas tattoo or Mattie ringing in 2015 as “Martha,” they definitely share some off-the-wall redneck family holiday traditions during Party Down South: Christmas Hangover.

Party Down South: Drunksgiving premieres Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and Party Down South: Christmas Hangover premieres Dec. 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
