Sara Evans Is Ready for 'Nashville'

She'll Make Guest Appearance on Wednesday's Episode of ABC Series

With a face and voice like that, Sara Evans was not only born for musical stardom but screen stardom, as well.

When she makes her debut Wednesday (Oct. 29) on ABC's Nashville, not only will she be looking absolutely gorgeous, she'll also be performing.

Evans will join the show's Will Chase (aka Luke Wheeler) for a special duet of her current single "Put My Heart Down." The whole experience was a thrill for the singer, but she admitted to me in a recent chat that being on set was not easy at times.

"We had the best the time, and I was exhausted," she said. "I'm like, 'This makes me appreciate my career.' Because what they do is so hard."

Because of the time involved on the set, filming a dramatic TV series has some specific challenges.

"It can be so mundane," she said. "I think what's so hard about it. I think when we watch TV, we're thinking this is all one continuous scene. They've memorized their parts, and they are coming in and they are acting, but they have to do it so many times. I don't know how they come in and muster it up every time, but they do and make it feel brand new."

But in a way, it's not unlike what she does as an artist, doing take after take of a studio vocal, for example.

"I guess it's like when I have to sing a vocal over and over and over," she admitted.
