Their fans in New England didn’t mess around when it came to securing their tickets to shows taking place Aug. 28-29 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. In fact, tickets to both shows — a total of 110,000 tickets — sold out in 12 minutes.
Say it with me: “Whoa!”
But should we really be surprised by such stats? We’re talking about two of the hardest-working guys on the road with two of the most memorable performances you’ll see in any musical genre.
Aldean is absolutely fired up about the stint in Beantown, admitting, “When we first started talking about doing stadiums together next summer, Kenny and I circled Foxborough on the map and made it a top priority.”
Chesney, for his part, can’t wait to see the fans again either. After all, next year’s dates will mark his 12th and 13th time to sell out concerts at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.
“Boston, you guys knock me out!” Chesney said. “Your passion for life, music and rocking inspires me more than you even know.”
The real question is whether they will be able wait until next summer. Both are ready to get the show on the road and head north.
“I can’t believe it’s gonna be 10 months till I get there,” Chesney said.
For Aldean, it’s going to be a lesson in patience.
“It’s gonna be a long winter waiting on this one,” he said.
