You'll Never Guess Who's Stuck on Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"

Funnyman Steve Carell Has Interesting Take on Her Pop Hit

Maybe not the best cover you’ve ever heard, but check out actor Steve Carell revealing his deep love for Taylor Swift’s smash hit “Shake It Off.”

Carell was on ABC’s Popcorn With Peter Travers to talk about his new film Foxcatcher, but talk eventually turned to how every time Travers and Carell get together, Carell starts singing.

“I just want to know what’s in your head? What’s going on in there?” he asks Carell, who also starred as everybody’s favorite regional manager Michael Scott on The Office.

Carell, comedic genius that his is, doesn’t miss a beat before jumping into Swift’s “Shake It Off” chorus.

“That’s the movie I want to see you do next!” Travers jokes. “Steve Carell and Taylor Swift. … I never understand what we do, but it’s great.”

Maybe Travers is on to something here. After all, Swift has some acting experience with memorable roles in The Giver, Valentine’s Day and The Lorax and has said she would love to do more of it.

After her pop album, 1989, became the only album released this year to sell more than 1 million copies, could a big Hollywood comedy be next on her list of worlds to conquer?
