Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett Hitting the Road Together

Legends Schedule All-Too-Brief East Coast Concert Tour

This certainly makes for one dynamic duo. Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett will hit the road together in late January for a special string of shows on the East Coast.

Say it with me: “Ahh, snap!”

I’ll be the first to admit I’m easily excitable when it comes to masterful artists, especially those who enjoyed tremendous success in the late ‘80s and ‘90s like Gill and Lovett. Perhaps it’s because those were the pivotal, formative years of my country music development.

I mean, my mama can confirm Gill is in fact the main reason I love country music. And Lovett is a treasure to our musical world. So regardless of reasoning, this tour is truly exciting for me and hopefully for you, too.

And apparently these two aren’t simply co-headlining these concerts. In addition to their solo sets, they’ll also be performing together.

The tour -- billed as Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett: Songs and Stories -- will also boast some pretty amazing, inspiring and hilarious anecdotes, no doubt. If you know anything about Gill, you know his cheeky wit nearly outshines his pristine vocals and incredible guitar tone -- almost. And the equally endearing Lovett will hopefully be getting up-close-and-personal with the audience, too.

The tour kicks off Jan. 27 in Glenside, Pennsylvania. They’ll also appear Jan. 29 in Englewood, New Jersey and Jan. 29 in Norfolk, Virginia before the final date on Jan. 30 in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Yeah, four days isn’t long at all, but I have to wonder if they’ll extend the tour. Or, even better, would they ever consider recording an album together? Let’s go ahead and start demanding it now.
