Crazy: Dierks Bentley Jumps in a Freezing Lake

Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Canaan Smith Get Roped In, Too

If Dierks Bentley asked you to jump in a lake, would you do it? What if it was 45 degrees and raining?

That’s what appears to be happening right now to Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Canaan Smith, who got called out Monday (Jan. 12) by Bentley to join him on his annual Percy Priest lake jump. They’ll also join his Sounds of Summer tour in June.

Should not have said yes to that one.

Every winter, Bentley braves the icy waters of Nashville’s Percy Priest lake (or some other body of water if he’s out of town) in the hopes of bringing good luck to his new year. Must be working so far.

Here’s the moment his “volunteers” start realizing what’s going down.

I’ll pass, but there are probably at least a few people.

The girls are in hard-core denial.

Now reality is starting to set in. And it looks cold.

And it’s done! Those poor, poor people.
