Eric Church Nabs First Grammy Performance

He’s Among Icons Taking the Stage

Eric Church is on the short list of Grammy Awards performers announced Tuesday (Jan. 13).

He joins AC/DC, Madonna, Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran as the first artists to be revealed for the 57th annual show, taking place Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Church is up for four awards this year: Best country solo performance and best country song (“Give Me Back My Hometown”), best country duo/group performance (“Raise ’Em Up” with Keith Urban) and best country album (The Outsiders).

He’s been nominated three times for Grammy awards in the past but has yet to win. This will be his first Grammy performance.

In related news, Church broke the attendance record at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Saturday (Jan. 10) with 18,411 fans packed in to catch the hometown stop of The Outsiders World Tour.
