RaeLynn Is Ready to Be 'Me'

Emerging Artist Releases Her Brand New EP

The big moment has arrived for singer-songwriter RaeLynn with the release of her five-song EP titled simply Me.

The collection is up for grabs on iTunes and, yes, I grabbed it because I personally just adore this gal. As I’ve said before, interviews with her are the most welcoming breath of fresh air. Any topic is fair game -- including wigs -- and candor and charm are guaranteed.

Which is exactly what can be said of the her new project, which features new songs like “Kissin’ Frogs,” “Careless,” “Better Do It,” her hit “God Made Girls” and a favorite of mine -- “Boyfriend,” co-written by Nicolle Galyon and Hailey Steele, her “sisters” from NBC’s The Voice.

She’s telling her truth and doing it with style with her own unique brand of sass that’s unmistakably RaeLynn.

It’s no wonder country superstar Miranda Lambert loves her, too, and even tapped the pint-sized spitfire to join her Platinum tour which kicks off this week.

And don’t worry. That love is mutual.

"Miranda is just like a sister to me,” RaeLynn told me recently. “She doesn’t like for me to call her mom, so I have to call her my ‘sister mom.’ But she is just so great.”

That feeling of gratitude also extends to Blake Shelton, Lambert’s husband and RaeLynn’s former coach on The Voice. It truly is a family affair.

RaeLynn revealed in a chat with her label that she has been “adopted into the Blake Shelton and Miranda camp.”

She explained,, “I’m so blessed to have them in my life … They are my biggest fans besides my family. I honestly can say I would not be where I am in my career if it wasn’t for Blake and Miranda with all their support.”

Lambert and RaeLynn, along with Justin Moore, will kick off the Platinum tour on Thursday (Jan. 15) in Evansville, Indiana.
