Is there anything more exciting than someone else’s musical playlist, especially if that someone is Tim McGraw?
I have to admit, nothing thrills me more than to hop in the car with a pal and plug in and play their latest list of musical favorites.
And now, thanks to Spotify, we know what we might find ourselves listening to if we ever find ourselves riding shotgun with the “Shotgun Rider” singer.

Shared musical playlists are such a fun thing. It’s the perfect way to discover new music and even discover something you didn’t know about the author of the playlist.
So what little secrets have been revealed by McGraw?
That he loves a good cry?
Sam Smith’s Grammy-nominated “Stay With Me” makes the McGraw cut. Has anyone ever listened to it not tearfully lying on the floor in the fetal position? If so, Tim, you might be the first.
That he supports his superstar friends?
Sure, they might technically be competitors, but McGraw’s choice of Keith Urban’s “Somewhere in My Car” indicates they’re musical brothers till the end.
That sometimes you have to own your own excellence?
As one of music’s most humble superstars, it’s highly unlikely you’d find McGraw staring at his reflection in the mirror singing the lyrics of Aloe Blacc’s “The Man.” But if he did on the rare occasion sing lines like, “You can tell everybody I’m the man. Yes, I am,” it would be warranted.
That new music can be pretty spiritual?
Even McGraw couldn’t escape the magical clutches of Hozier’s “Take Me to Church.” The Irish import’s debut single has taken the world by storm and has pretty much everyone “worshipping like a dog” at the shrine of Andrew Hozier-Byrne. Confession time: You love it, too, don’t you?
