Blake Shelton to Star in Adam Sandler Comedy

Singer Cast as Wyatt Earp in Ridiculous 6 for Netflix

Blake Shelton will reportedly assume the role of Western lawman Wyatt Earp in Ridiculous 6, Adam Sandler’s first film for Netflix, according to the Wrap, an entertainment website.

This past weekend, Shelton displayed his skills as a comedic actor while hosting Saturday Night Live.

Vanilla Ice will apparently portray Mark Twain in Ridiculous 6, described by the Wrap “as comedic spin on ensemble westerns like The Magnificent Seven.”

Sandler co-wrote the script and will star as a man who grew up as an orphan among an Indian tribe. The cast is expected to also feature Taylor Lautner, Nick Nolte, Whitney Cummings, Steve Buscemi, Dan Aykroyd, Luke Wilson, Steve Zahn and Jon Lovitz, among others.

In October, Netflix announced a deal with Sandler to produce four movies for the streaming service. Production on Ridiculous 6 is scheduled to begin in February.

Shelton’s next concert is scheduled for March 19 at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
