Dierks Bentley: Already Winning

Is There a Grammy for Best Attitude?

If Dierks Bentley wins the Grammy for best country album on Sunday (Feb. 8), he’ll be happy. And if Miranda Lambert wins it, he’ll be just as happy.

In a recent newspaper story, Bentley said, "A win for her is a win for everyone."

"Any time she wins or performs, I'm usually the first one standing up and applauding," Bentley said at his official Super Bowl tailgate performance.

His Riser and her Platinum are both nominated along with Eric Church’s The Outsiders, Brandy Clark’s 12 Stories and Lee Ann Womack’s The Way I’m Livin’.

"I just feel that she's the same Texas girl that she's always been," he said of his friend and longtime tourmate.

Bentley’s been nominated in this category twice before -- in 2008 for his Long Trip Alone album and in 2011 for his bluegrass-inspired Up on the Ridge.

The 57th annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday night, so tune in to see who wins and who stands up and applauds first.
