Ladies, if you want to capture Kenny Chesney’s attention, maybe it’s time to let your hair down and let your passionate side take over. And your ambitious side, too.
“Wild Child,” the new single he co-wrote with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, celebrates the spirit of creative, curious and free-spirited women everywhere.
“To me, a girl who is so alive, so in the moment, so curious and hungry for life … there’s nothing like her,” Chesney says.
His duet partner on the song is rocker Grace Potter, who previously joined him on his hit, “You and Tequila.” Talk about a beautiful, ambitious, talented and successful woman. She does seem to perfectly embody the spirit of the tune, now doesn’t she?
It’s refreshing to hear a big star like Chesney praising the inner beauty of women, that elusive beauty that stems from ambition and drive and heart. For him, what really counts is that zest for life and unbridled passion deep within.
“To me, that makes women really stand out,” he says. “Whether they want to live in the mountains, become a doctor, play music in Hawaii or surf around the world, whatever their passion is, that’s what drives them. And, man, it’s an amazing thing.”
So let’s get this straight.
Chesney loves it when we chase our dreams, try to conquer the world and let our spirit run free? Call me crazy, but he did just release the new female anthem of 2015?
That’s something I would definitely celebrate.
