Sure, right now she’s all handcuffs and riding crops and chains and blindfolds. But once the Fifty Shades of Grey hype dies down, Dakota Johnson may try hanging her hat in Tennessee.
In the new issue of Vogue magazine, the movie’s star talks about why she might like to move to Nashville while her phone is binging every time she gets one of those “Zillow Recommended Results” emails for her Nashville search.
“I grew up like a normal kid, but it was not until I experienced other parts of the world that I realized how really and truly bizarre to the core (Los Angeles) is — inside the homes of our powerful and damaged,” said Johnson, the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. “Nashville is only a couple of hours from New York, and people just move at a slower pace there — and they don’t care who you are or what you do.”
What she’d like about Nashville — besides the fact that, as far as I know, there is no Red Room of Pain — is the chill vibe.
“Sometimes it’s nice to just hang out in someone’s backyard instead of prancing around the city,” Johnson added.
Johnson stars as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey along with Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey.
