Redneck Island Season Finale: If the Rednecks Were Songs

Contestant Sarah Mullins Plays DJ and Takes a Look Back at the Season

Have you ever heard a song and thought “OMG, this is so me!” Or, it reminds you of one of your friends? If you have watched Redneck Island you would know we are anything but sane.

Here’s a playlist of songs (plus my colorful commentary) that perfectly describes this season’s contestants. And be sure to watch the season finale online to find out which one of my fellow rednecks won the $100,000.

Cody Davis: “Guys like Me” by Eric Church
I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to believe that beautiful girls fall for him. But then again I think, who wouldn’t fall for a ball cap wearing, tractor driving, Gypsy loving (that’s his dog’s name), beer chugging redneck?! You’d be crazy not to fall.

Rocky Davis: “Stacy’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne
Good ole’ Rocky. He is the comedian of the cast. Full-time mama’s boy and professional stay-at-home son. He also has a minor in MILF hunting. Yeah, so Stacy’s mom isn’t ready for Rocky’s credentials. He’ll rock her world!

Riley Green: “Bury Me in Dixie” by Riley Green
This song is self-explanatory. Want to know why? HE WROTE IT! He has a beard and a guitar. How does he get any more perfect? Yes ladies, the song is on Spotify.

Lucas Albert: “Cowboy Take Me Away” by Dixie Chicks
The word “Cowboy” in of itself is just enough of a reason. But if you noticed on Redneck Island people, are begging for Lucas to be taken away, to the Pit. Good ole’ Cowboy!

Josh Varnado: “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks
‘Hot Josh?’ Nah, Josh is good enough for me. Either way, when Josh is getting down and dirty in the pit or getting high and mighty on the high beam, know that he’ll always have friends in high and low places!

Anthony Parigi “If I Could Do It Again” by Corey Smith
If you have met Parigi, you would know he doesn’t regret much. But the list of stuff he could do over again, well that’s a pretty long list!

Corey Cotton: “Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO
He, he, he works out!

Jeremy Morris: “Hotel California” by Eagles
Good ole’ Hollywood! How many sexy California-type rednecks do you find in Myrtle Beach? Not many, but looking at Jeremy every day is good enough for me.

Hunter Larson: “American Bad Ass” by Kid Rock
Hunter is the ultimate version of an “American Badass.” He is literally a devil without a cause.

Tank D: “Let Your Country Hang Out” by The Lacs
If Tank isn’t letting his funnel hang out, he is definitely letting his country hang out.

Blake Wallace: “Beast Mode” by B.o.B
The name describes it all. He goes beast mode in the Pit when he gets angry and when he gets some alcohol in his system. Yikes, that’s never a good combo!

John Tart: “Gone” by Montgomery Gentry
You saw him and then you blinked.

Margaret Wood: “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift
If you watch Redneck Island you would know that the immortal Margaret Wood has a lot of haters, 18 or 20 at least. Shaking them off is how she gets through the competitions. I think she mistook Redneck Island for Bad Girls Club because honey, she is stacking these haters up like pancakes and eating them for breakfast.

Kat Taft “Crazy Bitch” by Buckcherry
Have you met her yet?! She suffers from RBF, ‘Resting Bitch Face.’ Also, she is a compulsive wine-a-holic. Those two mixed together equals a totally crazy bitch! You have to love her for it, though.

Becky Andrews Me and Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin
Don’t let Miss Becky fool you. This Bayou Belle loves her some Janis Joplin and the blues!! That’s right fella’s, she’s an all-around bayou blues kind of gal. She is drop dead sexy, can sing, wrestle and hold her own in the beer arena. Only Louisiana girls come with this kind of package.

Sarah Mullins: “Dirrty” by Christina Aguilera
I have the vocabulary of a well-educated perverted sailor. My mind always stays in the gutter, just dirty!

Hali Droddy “On the Road Again” by Willie Nelson
Hali is a modern day gypsy soul. She is no stranger to road trips with good friends. She’s so down to earth and always down to boogie.

Nicole Bass: “You Can’t Take the Honky-Tonk Out of the Girl” by Brooks and Dunn
This country girl loves getting down and dirty, also she loves getting dressed and pretty. She has moved to not one but TWO major cities and still manages to be country to the bone!

Heather Lynn: “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” by Toby Keith
Have you seen the rack, I mean, flag bikini on Heather Lynn (aka Freedom Tits) lately? You can’t miss it. This girl is proud to be an American and she isn’t afraid to show it.

Shelby McConnell: ‘Ol’ Red’ by Blake Shelton
This song is perfect for Red. This firecracker is a conniving little devil, but you have to love her.

Jorden Estis: “Don’t Laugh at Me” by Mark Wills
Jorden, Jorden, Jorden. This song describes Mama Jorden to a T. She is preaching to the choir when she tells us to not judge because this she makes it pretty clear who she likes and doesn’t like.

Jami Owens: “Red Solo Cup” by Toby Keith
Have you seen the second episode for Redneck Island? If you haven’t you should watch it. It features our sweet Jami having a one on one jam session with a glass door. Needless to say, the glass door rocked Jami’s socks.

Taylor Anderson: “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix A Lot
This song describes the beautiful Texas belle flawlessly. And baby, she got back. Get it Ms. Texas!

Tessa Moss: “Beer in Mexico” by Kenny Chesney
Tessa is your everyday Spanish-speaking Southern Texan. Basically if you mix together a case of beer, Mexico and Kenny Chesney together, you’ll have a Tessa.
