Grandma Reba Is There "In a Heartbeat"

She’s There for Kelly Clarkson's Musical Challenges

Kelly Clarkson recently admitted no one is RSVPing to her party.

She wants to collaborate, and everyone is saying no to her. (Except John Legend. And, really, who else do you need once you’ve snagged John Legend?)

"I honestly would collaborate with a lot of people, but everyone usually says no. I'm not kidding you. I have legitimately asked several people that I'm not going to call out, and that's cool, but I don't know,” Clarkson recently told Entertainment Tonight. "I ask good people, I don't want to sing with crap people, so I mean, I ask people who are great vocalists, but I'm not going to point out anyone. Sometimes I feel like I have the plague or leprosy.”

But Clarkson’s stepmother-in-law, Reba McEntire, is behind her 100 percent.

"You know, Kelly's a big girl. She's always been able to defend herself and take up for herself. But if there's any slack needed to be taken up, I'll be there for her in a heartbeat,” Reba told ET.

"I'm very proud of her. She's a girl with a big heart. Very giving, loving and talented. Everybody knows she's talented, but sometimes they don’t see that bighearted, loving person that she really is,” she added.

But the one person that everyone wants to have in the studio is Clarkson’s adorable baby girl River Rose.

“She's a doll,” McEntire said of River, adding that her husband was in London with their granddaughter and Clarkson last week, and that had given them a lot of time together. ”He's loving every minute of it. He sends me videos and pictures every day.”
