Carrie Underwood, Brantley Gilbert, Thomas Rhett Earn RIAA Certifications

Platinum and gold awards for the month of February were announced Tuesday (March 10), showing Florida Georgia Line, Carrie Underwood and more earning shiny new certifications.

Awarded by the Recording Industry Association of America, platinum singles signify a combination of sales, downloads and streams of 1 million units, while the gold level signifies 500,000.

Florida Georgia Line’s “This Is How We Roll” (featuring Luke Bryan) has achieved triple platinum status for moving 3 million units since its release in Dec. 2012.

Likewise, Underwood’s “Something in the Water” receives a platinum certificate after just five months.

Meanwhile, Brantley Gilbert’s “More Than Miles” earns a gold plaque following its September 2011 release.

And so does Thomas Rhett’s “Make Me Wanna,” first released in October 2013.

No country albums reached gold or platinum status this month.
