It was just over 16 years ago when country superstar Garth Brooks pursued his childhood dream of playing professional baseball. That year, he suited up with the San Diego Padres at the age of 37. But in typical Brooks fashion, once wasn’t enough. He returned the following year to the New York Mets camp — playing along all-stars like Mike Piazza and Robin Ventura. Then in 2004, at the age of 42, Brooks attended his final spring training with the Kansas City Royals.
