Thomas Rhett Decides to "Crash and Burn" With Video Teaser

Track Will Be Featured on His Upcoming Album

Remember last week when we shared those delicious top-secret details on Thomas Rhett’s highly-anticipated sophomore album?

The singer-songwriter is having a bit of a funk revelation as he works on his upcoming album, and now fans can get their very own sneak peek at one of the project’s most dynamic tracks, “Crash and Burn.”

The 15-second video teaser he posted on his official Facebook page is just enough to leave you wanting more.

This is the tune written by the incomparable Chris Stapleton, the one serving up that sweet throwback vibe. I remember the day we sat down to listen to this mix, Rhett admitted he would never play me Stapleton’s version so I “wouldn’t have a chance to like it better.”

Rhett confessed this particular ditty is the “most vocally challenging song I’ve ever recorded. Chris is singing background on it. Pretty awesome.”

He also revealed it might be the project’s lead single, although nothing is set in stone at the moment. Regardless, it falls perfectly in line with Rhett’s vision for his musical future.

“‘Crash’ has got a super throwback feel,” he said. “Definitely coming off of ‘Make Me Wanna,’ it’s gonna be really cool to continue in that direction.”
