Brooks & Dunn Reuniting at ACM Awards

Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts Also Added to Awards Show

A reunion of Brooks & Dunn and a surprise duet featuring Christina Aguilera have been added to the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards set for April 19 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Rascal Flatts are other new additions to the awards show hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton. Although the identity of Aguilera’s duet partner has not been revealed, the ACM also announced the show will include a collaboration featuring Dan + Shay and Nick Jonas.

The event marks Brooks & Dunn’s first TV performance together since 2010. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn went their separate ways following a 2010 tour but will be working together again during an upcoming residency with Reba McEntire at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Those previously announced to perform at the ACM Awards include McEntire, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line. This year’s new artist of the year finalists — Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell — will also perform.
