Is There a Country Scandal Coming?

Actor Scott Foley Admits Eric Church Is His Go-To for Karaoke

What’s not to love about the hit TV show Scandal? So much drama, infidelity, murder, Oval Office sex, politics and music. But, really, it’s kind of hard to get excited about the music when every single episode seems to have an overabundance of soul, funk and vintage Motown.

But I think there could be a little country coming to an episode near you.

Scott Foley, who plays the bad-guy-turned-good-guy-turned-who-the-hell-knows-anymore Jake Ballard, is in the May issue of InStyle magazine. And this is what he admits about his own personal taste in music

When it comes to karaoke songs, he usually starts out with something slow like Harry Chapin’s “Cat’s in the Cradle.” Then he goes country.

“I’ll sing some Dixie Chicks. You weren’t expecting that, were you? I’ll sing a little Eric Church, too,” Foley says.

So why not incorporate some of what Foley loves into the next storyline? I could definitely picture the Dixie Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl” in the next B613 scene. (I’m thinking of you, Eli Pope.)

Or how perfect would Church’s new “Like a Wrecking Ball” next time Jake and Olivia end up in bed?
