Florida Georgia Line Get a New "Shine" On at Exclusive Nashville Concert

ACM Nominees Pack Tiny Club to Celebrate Partnership With Mountain Dew

I’m with Florida Georgia Line. I love it when everyone gets their “shine” on -- especially when it actually involves hanging out with the duo’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley and hearing the two rock out on a Tuesday afternoon (April 14) for a handful of their biggest fans.

It’s an experience a select group of very special superfans enjoyed at the Sutler, one of Nashville’s hip-and-happening saloons. To celebrate their partnership with Mountain Dew and the recent release of the company’s new old-fashioned DEWshine, the ACM nominees took the stage for an ultra-exclusive “secret show” for about 150 lucky attendees.

As the party really ramped up, guests were treated to samplings of the new DEWshine while they chowed down on mushroom empanadas, hot chicken, black-eyed pea toasts and maybe the best deviled eggs I’ve ever tasted in my life. (Please don’t tell my mama).

Then it was time for the music. Hubbard and Kelley got the crowd going with their hits “Sun Daze,” “Get Your Shine On,” their current single “Sippin’ on Fire” and, of course, the monster hit that started it all, “Cruise.”

Before launching into that massive debut single, they thanked the crowd for their unwavering support and talked about how they came from nothing -- and how this song changed it all.

Perhaps the best part of the afternoon was watching all the fans waving hands wildly and singing back every word and hearing one particular fan yell out, “Man, I freakin’ love Nashville!” as the show came to a close.

I have to agree with him: You have to love Nashville. A place where on any random weekday, you can get enjoy drinks, Southern grub and a private concert with one of the biggest acts in all of music.
