Lady Antebellum’s Bus Catches on Fire

No One Injured After Tire Overheats on Way to Dallas

A tour bus transporting Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and members of her family and the band’s road crew caught on fire early Thursday morning (April 19) en route to Texas for the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Scott took to social media to let the band’s family, friends and followers that they were safe after her personal tour bus caught on fire.

“Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today,” she wrote. “Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!! ~hillary”

It sounds like Scott’s infant daughter Eisele was not on board at the time.

The band is due in Texas for a variety of ACM Awards appearances and performances, including their ACM Presents: Superstar Duets performance with singer-songwriter Brandy Clark.

Alison makes her living loving country music. She's based in Chicago, but she's always leaving her heart in Nashville.
