Miranda Lambert and Other Country Stars Dazzle on ACM Red Carpet

Color, Patterns and Sharp-Dressed Men Add Glamour to Awards Show

Holy plunging neckline, Miranda Lambert! Did anyone else catch the gorgeous country superstar on the red carpet Sunday night (April 19) at the 50th annual ACM Awards?

Lambert was just one of handful of stars lighting up the carpet last night before the big show at AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Clad in a shimmering, silvery-gray gown, sporting a sleek blonde “lob” hairstyle (that’s hair code for “long bob,” the apparent haircut of the season), the night’s big winner sparkled like a diamond. And she wasn’t the only one. Let’s recap some of the night’s biggest fashion moments.

Silver and Golden Belles
Lambert and Kellie Pickler toned down the color factor this year, yet both dazzled in their dramatic gowns. Two of country’s favorite blondes never disappoint — and this year was no exception.

Pretty in Pink
Call it the color of the night. Pink truly was the ACM red carpet’s signature color this year. Kacey Musgraves looked ethereal in one of my personal favorite looks of the night — a lacy-pink vintage-boho gown and fishtail braid in her hair. Brittany Kerr, Jason Aldean’s wife, glowed in a similar pink shade while Justin Moore’s wife Kate gave us glam in a gorgeous hot pink gown. Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman dazzled in a hot pink strapless number. And that hair of hers is truly inspirational.

Got the Blues?
The night’s other favorite color — blue — did not disappoint either. Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott looked simply beautiful in a bright royal blue gown, while band mates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood worked their blue threads with style, too. Caroline Boyer Bryan stunned in beaded blue gown while coordinating with her hubby Luke Bryan’s dark blue tailored jacket. Danielle Bradbery looked absolutely gorgeous in her blue two-piece gown, showing just the teeniest bit of toned tummy for the cameras.

Legs and LBDs
Actresses Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon got their sparkle on and showed off those toned gams in little mini-dresses, while Trisha Yearwood looked positively smokin’ in her little black dress as hubby Garth Brooks beamed at her side. RaeLynn looked stunning and all grown up in her LBD, while Ashley Monroe kept her little black dress look a little retro with long sleeves.

Sharp-Dressed Men
Chris Young owned it as the man in black — a hot black suit, that is — while Dierks Bentley rocked a plaid three-piece suit. Hunter Hayes looked handsome in a tailored suit, sans tie, and Thomas Rhett was a winner in a blue tuxedo jacket with a classic black bowtie.

The Newcomers
Sam Hunt kept in classic and timeless in a black suit while Maddie & Tae stunned in lilac and teal jewel tones dresses. Both Mickey Guyton and curly-haired cutie Cam kept it sweet and simple in their floral print gowns.

Hats Off to Hats On
Oh, and hats off to Clint Black, Alan Jackson, Kix Brooks, Aldean and Moore for keeping it classic and working the cowboy hats on the red carpet this year.

And to Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler … well, he gets kudos for bringing a little flash and fun to the party with those pants.
