In addition to their other individual tour dates, the two superstars will kick of a string of a dozen stadium dates together — combining Chesney’s Big Revival tour and Aldean’s Burn It Down tour — Saturday (May 2) at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.
Why San Francisco? Chesney says the city has always been a great place to perform.
“I’ve had Steve Miller and Sammy Hagar join me onstage there,” he said. “The fans come early, they stay late — and they always send us into multiple encores. If this is how we’re kicking off the year in stadiums, this is going to be a pretty strong bar-setter.”
“There is nothing I love more than playing stadiums,” Chesney added. “The energy and the size of the stage lets me get close to so many more people — and that is a feeling unlike any other. To be able to join up with Jason for these shows this summer, I think it’s the kind of night people won’t forget.”
Aldean is eager to get the show on the road, too. He says he and Chesney have been in the planning stages of this tour for quite a while.
“Kenny and I have been talking about this for months, and we can’t wait to get out there with the fans to share the moment,” Aldean said. “Chesney is one of country music’s greatest entertainers.
“He’s the first guy who comes to mind when I think about playing stadiums, so sharing the stage with him this summer is definitely something I’ll be able to check off my bucket list.”
