Luke Bryan's 'Kill the Lights' Set for August Release

But He Loses to a 5-Year-Old on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'

The good news: Luke Bryan is making a new album. The bad news: He's no match for a 5-year-old.

During a Tuesday (May 19) appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Bryan announced that his new album, Kill the Lights, will be released Aug. 7.

In addition to talking to the talk show host and performing his new single, “Kick the Dust Up,” he also made a new friend in 5-year-old presidential expert Macey Hensley.

Hensley, who is from Kansas and was wearing a red fringed pearl-snap shirt, played Know Your Country with Bryan. Together, I think they stole the hearts of everyone watching.

First Hensley sang her favorite song, "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)." Then after Bryan performed "Kick the Dust Up," he came out to sit with Hensley and DeGeneres.

Here's how they did on the quiz: Hensley 5, Bryan 1

Q. Which president officially gave the White House its name?

A. Teddy Roosevelt. (Hensley)

Q. Who was the youngest president to ever be elected?

A. John F. Kennedy. (Hensley)

Q. What was President Martin Van Buren's nickname?

A. Old Kinderhook (Hensley)

Q. Kenny Chesney sings "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy." Which president was also a peanut farmer?

A. Jimmy Carter. (Bryan)

Q. What was the name of President Clinton's cat?

A. Socks (Hensley)

Q. Which president got a speeding ticket on a horse?

A. Ulysses S. Grant (Hensley)

Bryan will perform “Kick the Dust Up” again Tuesday night on the season finale of The Voice.

“We’ve been performing the new song on tour this spring, using it to open the shows," Bryan said in a press release. “We love the crowd reaction to it, and I cannot wait to be able to share more new music this summer. It’s been two years since we’ve had a new album, and I don’t think I’ve been this eager yet to get it out to the fans.”
