Life has gotten a little crazy for singer-songwriter Kip Moore. But rather than allow the chaos of success to affect him in a negative way, he’s channeling the madness for a greater good — creative inspiration.
In a recent video interview, the Georgia native reveals two very important factors that influenced his upcoming album, Wild Ones.
“The first thing I would say is the traveling circus our life has become. It takes such a toll on you. It’s such a grind,” Moore admits. “It wears you down. It wears down your heart and soul and plays tricks on your mind and makes you think you’re losing people that you care about in your life, and it makes you feel real distant from people. And in the same sense, it can bring you such joy and such exuberance every single night.”
It’s such a conflicting feeling, but Moore wouldn’t trade it for anything, as it clearly gave him such great perspective on his artist as he crafted this new project.
“I think all of that inspired the colors of this record,” Moore says.
And then there’s another incredibly important factor he considered — the fans.
Moore admits he always keeps them at the front of his thoughts as he considers his next musical move.
“I think the fans had so much to do with the record because I now know who my fan base is … and I refuse to make a record that doesn’t represent who we are and what they want to hear.”
And that’s music to every Kip Moore fan’s ears. Wild Ones is set for release on Aug. 21.
