2015 CMT Music Awards Rehearsals in Full Swing

Co-Hosts Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow Talk About Wednesday's Big Show

The 2015 CMT Music Awards will kick off live Wednesday night (June 10) at 8 p.m. ET, and Nashville’s Lower Broadway is alive with final preparations for the party of the summer.

During Tuesday’s rehearsals co-hosts Erin Andrews and Brittany Snow added to the growing excitement by revealing hints of what fans can expect this year.

“The opening is really fun,” Snow said. “And there will be a lot of cameos that I’m excited about. Hopefully, we will get to meet some of them. I hope we don’t do many skits on stage. I just break out into a mime sort of thing … and it goes terribly wrong.

“You do a good mocking, dancing kind of situation,” Andrews said. “No, I feel like, to be honest with you, they’re still kind of working on some stuff, kind of getting things together. I think I’ll be surprised by half the people that show up.”

Wednesday night will be packed with celebrity appearances and show-stopping performances. Several artists even let cameras inside rehearsals for an exclusive sneak peek.

For video of the year nominee Luke Bryan, Billboard country chart, and the Georgia Native knows all of this is possible because of devoted fans.

“It’s amazing. My fans have been so incredible to me and blessed me,” Bryan said during rehearsals for the awards show. “That’s why I show up and have a blast at these things to show my appreciation for them. And without them, obviously, I couldn’t make all this happen.”

Jake Owen Jake Owen is also set to take the stage, and for the “Real Life” singer, the CMT Music Awards are always an event that he looks forward to.

“It’s got a different vibe,” he said. “It’s really laid-back. It’s here in Nashville, which is great, but there’s always different kinds of people that are here, different kinds of celebrities that come to hang out. I’m looking right now at the seat that J.J. Watt is going to sit in.

“That’s pretty cool,” he said of the Houston Texans’ defensive end. “I didn’t know he was going to be here. But there are a lot of great people that come. I think it’s got a cool vibe. CMT has always had a way to make things different and special and have a cool edgy factor to it and that kinda fits right in my wheelhouse.”

The red carpet pre-show will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the 2015 CMT Music Awards at 8 p.m. ET. And don’t miss a special awards show episode of CMT Hot 20 Countdown this Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. ET/PT.
