CMA Music Festival: Jason Aldean, Florida Line Energize Stadium Crowd

Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, Sam Hunt, Alan Jackson Join Them for Thursday Concert at LP Field

The hills of downtown Nashville are alive with the sound of music — country music — with the 2015 CMA Music Festival that kicked off Thursday (June 11) and continues through Sunday.

Gary Allan marked the official start Thursday morning during a free concert on the Riverfront Stage. The day’s lineup included Montgomery Gentry, the Cadillac Three, Ashley Monroe, Maddie & Tae, Craig Campbell, Dan + Shay, Scotty McCreery and Rodney Atkins.

But the first big concert across the Cumberland River at LP Field cranked up Thursday night with back-to-back performances by Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, Sam Hunt and Alan Jackson. Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers opened the concert with their arrangement of the national anthem.
