Kelsea Ballerini Savors Support of Country Music Community

Dierks Bentley Predicts More Success With Her New Single, "Dibs"

Kelsea Ballerini might have titled her next single “Dibs,” but Dierks Bentley is calling the catchy tune “money.”

Ballerini is the fresh new face on the country scene. Folks can’t seem to get enough of her. And if you’ve listened to any of her tunes, watched an interview or seen her perform live, you will understand why.

One of CMT’s Next Women of Country is one more talented doll of a gal. I’m a fan -- and so is Bentley, even though he’s actually never met Ballerini.

After her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It” went to No. 1, the country community reached out to congratulate the singer-and songwriter on her tremendous success.

“Congrats to Kelsea Ballerini on 1st number one!” Bentley tweeted. “Your next song ‘Dibs’ is money too. Don’t know you, but happy for ya!”

Ballerini just had to be over the moon to receive such praise and support from one of country’s biggest -- and kindest-- stars.

And he wasn’t the only one to send some love. Carrie Underwood, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Maddie & Tae, Little Big Town and Martina McBride also tweeted congratulatory love to Ballerini. After all, it was a huge achievement. “Love Me Like You Mean It” sailing all the way to the top of Billboard’s country airplay chart makes her the first female artist in nine years to accomplish such a feat with a debut single.

Luckily for Bentley and the rest of us “Dibs” will be Ballerini’s next single, scheduled to hit country radio on July 20. It’s yet another standout from her debut album, The First Time.
