If you’ve been wanting to get tangled up with Thomas Rhett, you’ll get your opportunity — at least musically speaking.
The singer-songwriter is set to release his sophomore album, Tangled Up, on Sept. 25.
This is the album we’ve been discussing obsessively since our sneak-preview listening session earlier this year. It’s the album where Thomas says all his master influences show up and show out.
“This album is something we’ve been working on for two years and musically,” he said recently. “It really pulls from all the things I’ve been inspired by through that time.
“The title, Tangled Up, comes from a lyric in one of the new songs, and I think it’s a cool way to point to all the different influences that I have as an artist and a songwriter, from soul and R&B to old school country to rock and everything in between. They are all in this record.”
And he wants us all to be a part of the experience. Fans can visit Rhett’s website and vote on one of four album covers under consideration for the project. The winner will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Rhett will be on the road this fall during CMT on Tour: Brett Eldredge & Thomas Rhett — Suits & Boots.
