I know everything Blake Shelton says isn’t true. Especially on any and all social media sites. Like, I doubt if he’s always as drunk as he claims to be. And I never believe him for one minute when he trash talks his co-hosts on The Voice.
But one of his recent tweets has me thinking. When a guy is never serious, how do you know when to take him seriously?
“I’m mowing with a push mower. I’m mowing a BIG yard with a push mower,” Shelton tweeted. “I make a lot of money and I’m mowing a BIG yard with a push mower!!!”
The big yard part, I believe. Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert have a lot of property in Tishmingo, Oklahoma, including a 1,200-acre ranch where they live, a 2,100-acre ranch nearby and then Lambert’s 700-acre ranch one town over that she bought when they were dating.
And even if he was only mowing a small fraction of that land, is it even possible to do it with a push mower?
I remember Shelton telling Men’s Journal about two years ago he was “always fascinated with backhoes and bulldozers and shit like that,” so I guess I just assumed he’d be more of a John Deere riding mower kind of guy.
