Don Henley’s Cass County Arrives in September

Miranda Lambert, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride Make Guest Appearances

Miranda Lambert, Mick Jagger, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton and Martina McBride make guest appearances on Don Henley’s Cass County, his first solo album in 15 years.

Produced by Henley and Stan Lynch and recorded primarily in Nashville and Dallas, the project will be released on Sept. 25.

The album title refers to the county in northeast Texas where Henley was born, raised and began his music career.

Lambert and Jagger are featured on “Bramble Rose,” Haggard on “The Cost of Living,” Parton on “When I Stop Dreaming” and McBride on “That Old Flame.” Jamey Johnson, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill also contributed to the recording sessions.

Cass County will be available as a 12-song standard CD and digital album. A 16-track deluxe version will be released as a CD, digital album and a double-disc, 180-gram vinyl LP.

In October, Henley will embark on a solo tour that includes stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and other cities. Singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin will open all shows.
