Watch George Strait Ride Away in Style on New DVD

'The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium' Set for August Release

I know, George Strait, you say it’s “Easy Come, Easy Go,” but watching you go is anything but easy.

Thank goodness we can now relive the King of Country’s final concert moments until the end of time now that the epic Cowboy Rides Away tour is set to be released on DVD.

George Strait -- The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium will hit stores on Aug. 28. The concert is the final show from Strait’s record-breaking two-year farewell tour taped in front of a whopping 104,793 fans in Arlington, Texas.

We’re talking the big show that featured performances with all famous pals like Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Eric Church and even his family members, like son George “Bubba” Strait.

And it’s all the classics as you’d expect, including megahits like “Check Yes or No,” “Marina Del Rey,” “Give It Away,” “You Look So Good in Love,” “Unwound” and “Troubadour.” And then those special collaborations: Chesney joining Strait on “Ocean Front Property” and “The Fireman,” Lambert joining him on “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls,” McBride on “Golden Ring” and then again with most of the crew, along with Sheryl Crow and Ray Benson, on “All My Exes Live In Texas.”

This is exactly what Strait wanted from the show when he said he wanted his friends there.

“I think it really made the night more special than it would have been if I’d just gone up there and done my normal show,” Strait says. “It was more exciting, I think, to have them come up and them being able to choose what songs they wanted to sing of mine.”

In addition, the DVD features bonus commentary from Strait and interviews with the special guests.
