Reba McEntire and her husband-manager Narvel Blackstock have separated after a 26-year marriage, the couple announced Monday (Aug. 3).
The singer posted the following message on her official website:
“In a joint statement, Narvel Blackstock and Reba McEntire have announced that they have been separated for the past few months, after 26 years of marriage. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other. They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time.”
McEntire married Blackstock in 1989. They have an adult son, race car driver Shelby Blackstock.

In 1988, McEntire and Blackstock established Starstruck Entertainment, a company which includes artist management, concert bookings and music publishing. In addition to McEntire, Starstruck’s management roster currently includes Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. McEntire’s stepson Brandon Blackstock is married to Clarkson.
McEntire is scheduled to perform Wednesday (Aug. 5) at the Mississippi Valley Fair in Davenport, Iowa.
