Kelly Clarkson and hubby Brandon Blackstock are expecting their second child, although she didn’t intend to announce the news quite yet.

Clarkson was performing her single “Piece by Piece” during a show earlier this week at L.A.’s Staples Center when she got a little emotional onstage. As explanation for her tears, she blurted out to the audience, “I was not planning on announcing this, but I’m pregnant … totally pregnant!”

She went on to tell the cheering crowd, “I didn’t want you to think I’m on pills or something!”

No, she says she’s just “so hormonal.”

Those tears are tears of joy. After all, babies are a welcome gift in this family. Kelly and Brandon’s first child, River Rose, was born last year.
