Word on the street is that Shania Twain is itching to return to her residency at Caesars Palace once she wraps her Rock This Country tour.
After her recent San Diego tour stop, Twain told Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun that a return to Sin City for another engagement is definitely “back in her plans.” She went on to reveal that her show “could return to Las Vegas next fall, 2016 or 2017.”
She’s not wasting any time planning.
“Las Vegas and the run at Caesars Palace turned out to be a nice surprise in that we liked Las Vegas so much. Everybody was so nice there. There was always lots to do there. We felt very comfortable living there,” Twain told Leach.
But for now, it’s back to the tour bus, as the Rock This Country tour continues wow audience. The North American dates conclude Oct. 27 in Kelowna, British Columbia, before the tour heads to Europe.
But before she gets serious about returning to Las Vegas, there’s that new album she’s been teasing.
“First, I have to finish the new album this fall,” she said. “Six tracks are already completed. I’ve written 38 songs in total, and now the process is underway to narrow that down to another six or eight to finish recording.”
The project will be her first album of all-new music since 2002’s Up.
