Lauren Alaina Scores Musical Touchdown

Georgia Native Contributes New Song to ESPN's College Football Coverage

Carrie Underwood isn’t the only country beauty lending her voice to the football season. Now Lauren Alaina is doing the same.

Alaina has written and recorded a brand new tune called “History” that will be featured on ESPN as they gear up for college football season.

And if you know anything about Alaina, you know this is a big deal for the Georgia native.

“For a Southern girl, college football is everything,” she says. “I am so pumped to have my song used for ESPN’s college football coverage.”

The song will be feature in all of ESPN’s promotions and platforms for the biggest games each week. “History” will also be used as part of the big campaign leading up to the College Football Playoff semifinals on New Year’s Eve and the National Championship in January.

It’s a great opportunity, and Alaina is very grateful.

“Thank you, ESPN, for giving me something to make my boyfriend, dad and brother think I’m that much cooler,” she says.

Samantha is a country radio insider with a deep love for the music and its stars. She can often be found on a red carpet or at a late-night guitar pull.
