Lady Antebellum Planning Brief Hiatus Following Tour

Hillary Scott Says Trio Will Be Writing New Music and Enjoying Life

Breathe, Lady Antebellum fans, breathe. And don’t panic. The Grammy-winning trio is not breaking up. They’re simply taking a little bit of a break.

Lady A’s leading lady Hillary Scott recently told E! News that once they wrap their Wheels Up tour in October, they’ll be taking a bit of a breather from the road and the recording studio to focus on writing their next album and, well, life in general.

“We’ve just made so many albums in such a short period of time, and we’re proud of them and what we’ve done in our career and what we’ve said with them, but we’ve never given ourselves the gift of time,” Scott admits.

“That’s what this next season is for us -- spending time with our families and really relishing in this successful year for us and focusing on where we’re headed next.”

Well, we know a few things, for sure

The group’s Charles Kelley is headed straight for parenthood. He and wife Cassie are expecting their first bundle of joy. Scott is already mommy to Eisele Kaye, while Dave Haywood and his wife Kelli are parents to little Cash Van Haywood.

And although she tells E! there’s “no timeline” set for their breather, Scott admits the break will “probably be a lot shorter than what [they] set out for it to be.”

She reveals that when she and her bandmates feel the time is right, they’ll get back to work. In the meantime, it will all about moments with family and friends.

“I’ll be cooking a lot in my kitchen and having people over and just honestly making up for lost time with memories with everyone we love,” she says.

That sounds like our kind of party. What time should we be there, Hillary?
