"CMT First" Offers Advance Streams of 10 Songs From Illinois

You’ll have to wait until Sept. 11 to hear all 12 tracks from Brett Eldredge’s new album, Illinois, but you can listen to 10 of the songs online as part of the “CMT First” album premiere presented by Reese’s.

“Lose My Mind,” the debut single from the project, has already climbed to No. 7 on Billboard’s country albums chart just 19 weeks after its release.

Eldredge first topped the country chart in 2013 with “Don’t Ya.” He repeated the feat with “Beat of the Music” in 2014 and “Mean to Me” in 2015.

“For me, I just try to stick with what I know,” he told Billboard about his latest music. “I try to stay inspired and write songs that I love. Take ’Lose My Mind,’ for instance. “It’s totally different than anything else I’ve done. It’s my soulful side that I wanted to get out. It’s fun to venture out there and put my own spin on it.”

He’ll be performing songs from the new album during CMT on Tour: Brett Eldredge & Thomas Rhett — Suits & Boots which kicks off Oct. 29 in New York City.
