Tim McGraw: “Can’t” Is Not In His DNA

Forced Show Cancellations Disappoint Singer and Fans

Yes, it was a bummer that Tim McGraw had to cancel a couple shows in California over the weekend. But look at the bright side: Damn Country Music.

Per doctors orders, McGraw has been placed on vocal rest, which meant that he was forced to cancel his Mountain View and Irvine concerts on Sept. 18 and 19.

“This is so disappointing to me. We’ve had such a great summer and I was looking forward to this final weekend with the fans in California,” McGraw wrote on social media.

His California fans seemed equally disappointed, but knowing they have new music coming a little over a month from now seemed to assuage any resentment.

McGraw’s Damn Country Music will be released on Nov. 6.

“When I recorded Damn Country Music, it was one of those electric moments. It speaks to a passion and being at a crossroads in your life when you make that decision to pursue it knowing you might pay a heavy price,” he said in a press release.
