Sometimes, Carrie Underwood is just like the rest of us: She needs red wine to have a good time. Other times, all she needs is a heartbeat.
I know this because I just listened to one of the new songs off her upcoming album Storyteller.
It’s called “Heartbeat,” and Underwood co-wrote the tune with Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley.
And if this one is telling a story, it’s a sexy one. It’s about a man and a woman being so into each other that they prefer being alone to being at a party in a downtown crowd. And how all they want to hear is a cricket choir in the background underneath a harvest moon.
And as for their dance music?
Well, here’s what Underwood has to say about that:
Standing on you shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heart beat/I wanna feel it like kick drum beating faster in your chest
