Chris Janson’s debut album will be released late next week, but you can preview the entire album now at CMT.com.
Fueled by the success of the title track, Buy Me a Boat officially arrives Oct. 30, and the Missouri native has already been testing the album’s other songs during roadwork throughout the summer on Toby Keith’s Good Times & Pick Up Lines Tour. Early next year, Janson will be meeting new fans when he joins Blake Shelton’s tour.
Even without a major record label’s support, “Buy Me a Boat” became a breakout hit at radio earlier this year. The surprise success led to CMT producing a music video for the track and Janson signing with Warner Music Nashville.
The single reached No. 1 on the Mediabase country airplay chart in September.
Janson, whose songwriting credits include Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah,” co-wrote all 11 songs on his debut album. His latest single, “Power of Positive Drinkin’,” was one of the most-added songs at country radio this past week.
