CMA Awards: The Excitement Builds
Rehearsals have concluded in Nashville for Wednesday night's (Nov. 4) CMA Awards show, and Maddie & Tae, Keith Urban and Eric Church are already among the winners.
The winners in two categories were announced early Wednesday during a live segment of ABC's Good Morning America.
Maddie & Tae and director TK McKamy share music video of the year honors for "Girl in a Country Song."
Urban and Church won in the musical event of the year category for "Raise 'Em Up."
Urban and John Mellencamp will be featured in one of several collaborations during the awards show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. In addition to a performance by Church and Hank Williams Jr., other pairings include singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton with Justin Timberlake, Reba McEntire with Brooks & Dunn, and Thomas Rhett with Fall Out Boy.
Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the 49th Annual CMA Awards airs live Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
