Blake Shelton Tapped to Host Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards

Awards Show Set for March 12

Blake Shelton will host Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards. The announcement was made Monday (Nov. 9) on NBC’s Today.

Airing March 12, super-sized surprises will take over this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards honoring favorites from the worlds of film, music, and television, and give kids a front-row seat to slime, stunts and celebrities.

The show will roll out on Nickelodeon’s more than 180 channels around with world. Additional Kids’ Choice Awards news will be announced in the coming months.

Although his prior hosting duties have not included the possibility of getting slimed, Shelton has co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards, including the most recent ACM show at Texas Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
