Chris Stapleton's 'Traveller' Wears the Crown for a Second Week

And Chris Young's "I'm Comin' Over" Reigns as Top Song

Showing that he’s no flash in the pan, Chris Stapleton holds his No. 1 spots again this week with Traveller on both Billboard’s country albums and all-genres charts.

To preserve that eminence, Traveller sold 96,995 copies this past week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its grand total of units sold now stands at 346,644.

And - after a 25-week journey - Chris Young arrives at the top of the country airplay chart with “I’m Comin’ Over.” It’s Young’s sixth No. 1 single.

Just as last week, country albums occupy three of the top five slots on the Billboard 200 all-genres list - with Eric Church’s Mr. Misunderstood at No. 2 and Tim McGraw’s Damn Country Music debuting there at No. 5.

There’s a deluge of new country albums to acknowledge. They are Damn Country Music (No. 3), Old Dominion’s Meat And Candy (No. 5), Josh Abbott Band’s Front Row Seat (No. 9), Cole Swindell’s Down Home Sessions II EP (No. 11), Hunter Hayes21 Project (No. 16) and Alan Jackson’s Genuine: The Alan Jackson Story (No. 19).

Also, the various artists collection Now That’s What I Call Country Christmas (No. 23), Maren Morris Maren Morris EP (No. 27), Elvis Presley’s Elvis: Ultimate Christmas (No. 40), Kenny RogersOnce Again It’s Christmas (No. 41), Redneck Souljers' Firewater (No. 42) and the multi-artist Country Faith Christmas (No. 50).

LeAnn RimesToday Is Christmas returns to the chart at No. 49.

We spy only three new songs: Maddie & Tae’s “Shut Up and Fish” (No. 51), Hank Williams Jr.’s “Are You Ready for the Country?” featuring Eric Church (No. 58) and Craig Morgan’s “When I’m Gone” (No. 60).

Justin Moore’s “You Look Like I Need a Drink” returns at No. 57, and James Otto’s “Somewhere Tonight” is back at No. 59.

Luke Bryan’s “Home Alone Tonight,” featuring Karen Fairchild, takes a big leap from No. 38 to No. 29, while Stapleton’s “Nobody to Blame” rockets from No. 46 to No. 41.

The No. 2 and No. 4 country albums this week, in that order, are Church’s Mr. Misunderstood and Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller.

Completing the Top 5 songs array are Swindell’s “Let Me See Ya Girl,” Underwood’s “Smoke Break,” Dan + Shay’s “Nothin’ Like You” and Blake Shelton’s “Gonna.”

We know it can’t be easy coming up with new titles for Christmas albums, what with the holiday having been around for a while. But Ultimate Christmas! What the hell does that mean? Even for Elvis, that’s a stretch.

And how about Once Again It’s Christmas? Does that really come as a surprise? We’re waiting for A Really Monumental Christmas Like You Ain’t Never Seen Before. Then Volume II.
