Charles Kelley and his wife Cassie are expecting. Their baby boy will be here in February.
So I’m sure the bunk on his tour bus will have a stack of books about pregnancy, babies, parenthood and more. But he told People that is not happening. At all.
“We’re ready for it,” he said. “I’m not reading any of the books. Everything I’ve heard from people, they say you can read every book out there, but when the baby comes, you’re just going to have to wing it.”
He’s half right. A lot of those good fathering instincts will come very naturally. And when they don’t, Kelley says he can count on his family, his wife’s family and his Lady Antebellum family.
“We have lots of nieces and nephews and I’ve watched Hillary (Scott) and Dave (Haywood) for the last couple years so I think I’m good,” Kelley said. “I’ve got this.”
