Redneck Island: 8 Reasons We’re Pumped for Season 5

Things Are About to Get Rowdy

With only one day left to wait, we are counting down the minutes and counting up the reasons why we’re excited for the new season of Redneck Island.

  1. Stone Cold Steve Austin

We can’t wait to get a double dose of Steve, first on Thursdays with Redneck Island, and then again on Sundays on his Broken Skull Challenge.

  2. The Challenges

Rumor has it that this season’s challenges make last season’s look like child’s play.

  3. The Adorable Melissa Rycroft

We love Melissa on Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team, and now we get to see her in an all new crazy setting. According to Melissa, she and Steve “got along great from the day we met, and once we started filming, I laughed harder with him than I have with anyone I’ve ever worked with before!” We can’t wait to see them hosting together.

  4. Nicole And Cody

Nicole and Cody were way more than partners by the time they were eliminated in Season 4. Will they rekindle the flames when they’re under the same roof again?

  5. The Newbies

Every veteran we’ve talked to has said over and over again that these newbies were not messing around. We’re pumped to see what they bring to the table.

  6. Miss Margaret

It’s no secret that Margaret wasn’t exactly a house favorite last season. Will the drama follow her back to the house again this season?

That’s all for now, y’all! Don’t miss the premiere of Redneck Island: Battle at the Lake this Thursday (Jan. 28) at 10 p.m. ET/PT. And for exclusive news and video, photo galleries and more, head over to, the CMT app, the official Redneck Island Facebook page and Twitter using #RedneckIsland.
