Tim McGraw’s Biggest Hurdle

Still Working on How to Trust

During the history-making blizzard of 2016, Tim McGraw was having all kinds of snow-day fun in Nashville. He and his wife Faith Hill took turns posting photos and videos of their days of being snowed in on their property south of the city, including a shot that their youngest daughter Audrey took of their three dogs — Sicily, Palio and Stromboli — playing outside.

But McGraw got serious in a new interview with his record label when he talked about the things he’s learned.

“I’ve learned a lot of lessons the hard way,” he said. “The best life lesson I’ve learned the hard way (is) to trust.”

He’s not alone, though.

“That’s something everybody always works on, I think, is to trust somebody,” he said. “To trust other people and to trust yourself. I think that’s probably the biggest hurdle that anybody has to jump is to learn to trust themselves. …

“I’m still working on that,” he admits.
