'Redneck Island': The Battle Begins - What You Didn't See

How Did Cowboy Charm Deidre? What Advice Did Margaret Give Connar?

Thursdays season premiere of Redneck Island was a roller coaster of emotion. We were excited to meet the twelve new contestants, and possible more excited to see our favorites from last season return to be their teammates.

The "Slip 'N Dip" challenge was crazy, but Tessa and Shane came out on top.

Cowboy and Deidre, on the other hand, weren't quite as lucky. Deidre smacked the water coming off the ramp, and was unable to complete the challenge. Tessa and Shane sent veteran (and supposed "Mastermind") Cody and his partner Brittney in to the Pit, and those two sent Cowboy and Deidre packing.

We saw those two say a quick goodbye to the cast, but what happened afterward? Check out this exclusive interview with Cowboy and Diedre after their elimination:

So, I guess Becky thinks these two are soulmates? Whether or not that is true, Deidre knows they are going to drown their sorrow in partying. She may have lost the Pit and $100,000, but Deidre seems quite happy in that exit interview.

While Cowboy and Deidre's relationship might have been short, let's take a look back at how it all started. Luckily for y'all, we've got a deleted scene of how their romance began. Check it out:

And there's more where that came from. One of our favorite moments from this episode is also a deleted scene, where last season's "villian" gave some friendly advice to newcomer Connar. Unable to have any of the veteran boys as her partner, Margaret gave Connar the details on who the strong veteran competitors are. While Margaret might have been talking game strategy, Connar had more than the competition on her mind when it came to Riley. Can you blame her? He is "Hot Riley," after all.

Hopefully that's enough behind-the-scenes content to satisfy your Redneck Island cravings until episode 2, which airs Thursday (Feb. 4) at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
